How to Make Best Use of Your Greeting Cards?

There are various ways to make the best use of your holiday cards. All it takes is your creativity, time, and effort to make an impact. When you put things to good use and not in the waste bin, you will feel happy about the planet.

Here are five tips to help you get started:

#1. Make A Book Full of Greeting Cards

Over the years, you have received many greeting cards! There is a card for your birthday, anniversary, and let’s not forget the pile of holiday cards. The good news is that you can do something interesting with all the cards you have.

Consider the following:

  • Bring all your greeting cards in one place.
  • Sort the greeting cards.
  • You can turn the greeting cards into a book with the leaf binder rings and a hole punch.
  • Now, it’s your choice. You can make a giant book with all the greeting cards, or you can sort it by year, family members, friends, etc. You have the final say!

You can make an interesting cover for this book from holiday cards. Or you can print a digital greeting card to use as a cover for this book. For example, you can get the digital cards with the new year’s theme and use them as a book cover. You can also use Canva for making the covers.

#2. Gift It As A Special Memory Someday

It melts your heart when you receive a greeting card from someone special. It could be your kid, spouse, siblings, friends, or maybe parents.

Let’s say your daughter sends you greeting cards, and she is living far away from you! It would help if you had her drawings from kindergarten when she used to make pretty cards.

Gather all her greeting cards and bind them together or put them in a gift box. Then, when your daughter gets married, you can gift it as a special memory to her or keep it for your grandchildren. It’s unique and the best thing you can do with greeting cards.

Now, you can do the same for anyone you find special!

#3. Repurpose The Holiday Greeting Cards

Who said you have to buy the new greeting cards each year? Let’s reuse, recycle, and repurpose the old stuff, including the greeting cards you receive this year.

  • You can get creative here! Look at the designs and images on the greeting cards.
  • Find interesting pictures and cut them.
  • Get cardstock of your favorite color.
  • Using glue, paste your favorite designs and pictures on the card sheet after folding it in the shape of a greeting card.
  • Write your message inside the card. You can also write a catchy headline on the outside. For example, to my favorite person, to the best dad/mom in the world, for my amazing teacher, thank you, and more!

#4. Use It for Making Gift Tags

You can make gift tags with the greeting cards. If you become a pro at making gift tags, maybe you can start your online shop and sell gift tags! Now that’s a fantastic idea.

  • It depends on what type of shapes you can easily make. For example, you can cut the greeting cards in the shape of stars.
  • Punch a hole on the top to use with a string or paste it on the gift.
  • You can make the gift tags the size of a sticky note 3 inches x 3 inches or change the size depending on the size of the gift box.

#5. Get Creative And Make Interesting Art

The greeting cards lying in front of you can make you creative. So let the artist inside you wake up and go back to the memory lane when you were just a kid. Wasn’t it fun to do art projects in school? Who said you couldn’t recreate those fun projects.

Invite your friends over the house and make something creative. For example, cut the cards’ images and stick them on a canvas board.

Later, you can gift the creative art to people you like. After all, it’s special and fun at the same time.

Wrapping It Up

Greeting cards serve as a gentle reminder that you are an important person. It’s time to make the best use of your holiday cards and turn them into something magical with your creativity and imagination. The tips above are for you! Now stop worrying about the clutter.
